It is good to see the American President forthright in his confession that he has come to hard sell US business to India and help create more jobs in USA. It is interesting to see that the western nations including US have at last accepted India as an equal partner in trade relations. There are some reservations about these candid acceptances of India.
When I see the way President Obama or Prime Minister Cameroon or any western head of state comes to business, my memory goes back to history when the first East India company ships arrived in India. Our rulers were so generous for the piece of bread they offered and were willing to part with their (our) own freedom. Due to this sin the generations suffered. We suffered for over 350 years and no one cared for India. India is now rising even without taking any ones territory or not allowing any one in the foreign territories India has conquered but our leaders should study from the historic blunders so that the future generations will not have to suffer. We should strive for the betterment of South Asian nations so that future generations can live in the same standard of of the developed nations.
The Prime Minister Dr. Singh is absolutely right when he told in the joint press conference with Mr. Obama that India has never stolen US jobs instead we have helped stabilizing the US market. If US can continue without outsourcing they should go for it without blaming us for the loss of their jobs. They should not make a hue and cry about the issue including President Obama. It is like the ancient western philosophy of blaming and begging. We should also not beg these nations for a permanent membership in the UN Security Council because it is their duty to accept the status of India rather than make these big talks for getting business from India. If they accept us as equal with them then why can't they give us the same status what they enjoy in the world?
Regarding Pakistan, yes, we all like to see that country to be stable but west should accept the historic blunder in creating such a problem. The Indians and Pakistanis should understand how the western nations have exploited this region in the past for all the problems Pakistan face today. President Obama is very much correct when he says that a stable Pakistan is very important for the world. Who is responsible for this instability? Who is responsible for creating terrorism? American woke up to the problem of terrorism after September 11 attacks on US strategic locations. India has been taking about terrorism for over a decade. Prior to this, the western nations used Pakistan as a stick to beat India. I hope the politicians in both these nations show good wisdom in solving our mutual disputes and should have more co - operation in trade and cultural relations. In the new world where there are no boundaries why should India and Pakistan continue their fight for the glaciers but let them work together for a nice and beautiful and prosperous Kashmir which can be enjoyed by all the people of both these nations. It can happen only when we wake up from the historic blunder of "divide and rule" on the basis of religion. Let religion should not blind our senses anymore. I hope the generation next of these two countries will wake up to a new Subcontinent of peace and prosperity.

Many world leaders have visited India in this year and many more will follow but we should be focused towards the development of India as a world power. We can understand President Obama's concern when his party has lost the mid - term elections to US senate. Let's be more concerned about our own future. Let's have a policy that is totally independent of religion but for the welfare of the people of south Asia because South Asia have suffered a lot in past due to western policies and interest. We could be divided on the basis of religion in the past but this generation can rectify the mistakes of the past and can be a catalyst for the new resurgent India. Let's study from the west how much they care for themselves. I hope the politicians of India will leave their partisan interest and work for a better society.
